World Champion Speaker Darren LaCroix suggests when you interview the meeting planner you ask:
- What do you want the audience to do, think or feel?
- What percentage of the speech should be entertaining/humor and what percent should be about a message? (e.g., 20% entertaining, 80% message)
- If you saw and liked one of my videos, which one did you see and why did you like it? (e.g., "I saw your video on marketing and I thought the content would be perfect for our audience.")
- What would I have to do to be a successful speaker at this event?
