Professional speaker Patricia Fripp suggests you put photographs of people in your audience in your presentation. You could get the pictures beforehand from the person coordinating the event, and place them in your presentation before you get to the event. Or you could take along a digital camera, snap some shots before you go onstage, update your presentation with the photos, and show them to your audience when you give your presentation.
