A few points...

Fellow speaker,

According to professional speaker Patricia Fripp, when proving your point in the body of your speech:
  • Vary your examples - different people in your audience learn in different ways, so give different types of examples (e.g., some stories, statistics, etc.)
  • Sound at or below the level of your audience's intelligence - in general, speak at a level that fits with your audience's level of understanding, however, if you are speaking to geniuses and you are not a genius, acknowledge that you are not a genius, but have something important to share that will help your audience of geniuses
