According to professional speaker Patricia Fripp, when proving your point in the body of your speech:
- Focus on one point at a time
- Limit the number of points in your speech - too many points confuses the audience about your speech
- Tell what audience wants to hear first - if you are famous for something, make sure you tell the audience about what you are famous for, then transition out of that into the point you want to make
