Some tips for getting to know your upcoming audience:
- Study them before meeting them - use the internet, word of mouth from others, etc.
- Know the audience's jargon/language - learn how the audience talks, the buzz words, jargon, etc.
- Use social media to connect before your presentation - tweet audience members on Twitter, direct them to your facebook page, etc.
