Professional speaker Rich Hopkins suggests this process for your speech introduction (before you give your speech):
- Attention - Say something that gets people's attention
- Humor - Find something funny to mention such as creating a funny way to describe yourself
- Product/service - Briefly mention a product/service you have
- Promise - Let the audience know what they will get from listening to you
- Name - Put this at the very end of your introduction
