According to Speaker Rich Hopkins using costuming can be an issue. Consider these points before suiting up for your speech:
- Audience - Is your audience ready for your costume? Does your meeting planner approve of having a costume?
- Contribution - Does it hurt or help your speech's point?
- Timing - Do you have to wear the costume the entire speech? Can you change out/into it in the middle of the speech? How will you change into/out of your costume during your speech?
