Give me an R!

Fellow speaker,

According to Speaker Rich Hopkins, you can get audiences to respond if you:
  • Respect them - make sure the responses you want to get are not embarrassing or hurtful to the audience and relateable to your topic
  • Start soon - start early on in the speech with opportunities for the audience to participate in your speech with a response
  • Encourage them - encourage the audience to respond and, when you get the response you want, praise the audience and encourage them to speak again
Responsively,
