Internationally speaking...

Fellow speaker,

Professional speaker Pam Slim suggests when speaking to international audiences you:
  • Use appropriate metaphors and analogies - the sports analogies and culture-specific analogies you are used to won't work: either find sports and cultural analogies appropriate for your audience or eliminate them entirely
  • Speak very clearly and precisely so every syllable of your message is heard and understood
  • Interact in a way appropriate for that culture or cultures
