It's black and white

Fellow speaker,

Professional presentation coach Phil Wakenell suggests you always use black backgrounds in your slides for your speeches. This is because the more normal all white backgrounds glare, tire the audience eyes out over the course of your speech, and are a magnet for the audience's eyes (taking them away from you, the presenter). Using a black or very dark background is easier on the eyes and allows the audience to focus on you after they get the point of your slide. See how Apple uses black backgrounds in their speeches to get their point across while keeping their audience focused on the presenter:
