3 quick speech tips

Fellow speaker,

Accredited Speaker Johnny Campbell suggests using these methods in giving off-the-cuff speeches (speeches where you don't have time to prepare):
  • Moderator - take the middle road between the two views ("I think it's best to both have intelligence and to have common sense - each is necessary, and you use one or the other, depending on the situation.")
  • Extremes - exaggerate or embellish ("I LOVE snow! The more snow the better! Everyone out there complaining about the snow but I say LET it snow!")
  • Devil's Advocate - take the opposite side than what you would usually take ("Murder isn't so bad...if you kill the right people.")
