Look at that metaphor run!

Fellow speaker,

According to professional presenter Anne Miller, use "running metaphors" that run through your entire presentation.  Make sure to use metaphors about complex ideas.  For example, you could use a metaphor about gardening through your presentation.  "Gardening" is a complex idea because there are many elements of "gardening":  planting the seeds, hoeing the ground, watering the ground, weeding the seedlings, etc.  And each element of gardening can be a different metaphor in your speech (e.g., "In order to get a good garden, first you have to plant your seeds, in the same way in order to get good results on this project, you need to first...."
