- Travel the globe - give a quote from a country that's not your home country (e.g., "Paper can't wrap up a fire" - China)
- Future-focused - start with the phrase "What if..." and then talk about something relevant to your speech (e.g., "What if you could live debt-free forever?")
- Sell the story - tell a story that makes the point of your speech
