Voice your thoughts

Fellow speaker,

Professional speaker Patricia Fripp suggests you use this speaking warmup to open up your voice:
  1. Stand or sit upright
  2. Slowly breathe in through your nose, filling up your chest and feeling your stomach pushing down as you breathe in
  3. Hold your breath for two seconds
  4. Slowly breathe out through your nose feeling your stomach push upward as the air leaves your body
  5. Repeat
  6. After you have repeated several times, make a humming sound when you breathe out, leaving your breath exactly the same way as it has been when you were not humming
  7. Repeat
