Fellow speaker,

According to professional speaker Patricia Fripp, you can change the perspective in your story to make your story more interesting.  For example, if you are telling a story about your learning to ride a bike, you could tell part of the story from the perspective of your mother, "My mother must have been terrified to see me out there, pedaling like mad, swaying from side to side as I went down the street."
