Calling character into question

Fellow speaker,

According to professional speaker Patricia Fripp, you can use your opening question to introduce a character to the audience that you can then call back to later in your speech.  For example, "Do you remember your mother telling you, "Always dress warmly before you go out in the rain"?  Then later in the speech mention other things your own mother told you.

Introducing with character,
