And in this corner...


Fellow speaker,

A few things to think about when creating an introduction:
  • Add a note to the introducer: "Please read the introduction exactly as written so it has the best effect with the audience
  • Send the introduction far in advance of your presentation - this allows for people managing the event to get your introduction to the correct person, and gives the person time to practice your introduction
  • Bring 2 copies of your introduction - this way you have a spare introduction in case your introduction never made it to them and if they lose your introduction before it's time to introduce your speech
