A word before introducing

Fellow speaker,

A few things to think about when creating an introduction:
  • Create a different introduction for each speech you give - focus the introduction on supporting the points you make in your speech
  • Make it less than a page - long, rambling introductions will bore the audience
  • Put it into 24 point type - make it very easy for your introducer to see
  • Use "..." to indicate places to pause
  • Use bold type for words you want the introducer to "punch"
