When giving training talks:
- Ask audience's names when they respond to a question or volunteer something and acknowledge them (e.g., "What's your name? Barbara? Great point, Barbara!"
- Use your audience to create a story and put dialog in the story (e.g., "There once was a Secretary named (what's your name? Barbara?) named Barbara and she was GREAT at her job. When she got to work she thought, 'What do I need to do next to get prepared for the day?' ")
- Create a personal story about what happens when you don't do the things the training suggests (e.g., "I remember when I first got the Secretary job and I forgot...")
- Create a quiz on the pre-reads of your presentation
