Time after time

Fellow speaker,

To keep your speech on time:
  • Time yourself at home when practicing the speech so you know how long it should last
  • Use handouts so you can cut out speaking content (for time reasons) while still making the content available to your audience
  • Get early to the room and set everything up so there are no delays setting up during your speech
  • Double-check your speaking time to make sure you are supposed to talk when you think you are supposed to talk
  • Prepare to cut out material in your presentation by timing your presentation into blocks so you know what time you gain by cutting out different parts of your presentation
Timely,

Tim
