If you want to get more laughs out of your speech, check the chuckles. Listen to your speech afterwards for all the places where the audience chuckled a little bit. Decide why they were chuckling, and do more of that with your next speech. If the chuckles are stronger, do even more of what makes them laugh. Over many speeches you can build up a little laugh into a hilarious howling.
