Fellow speaker,
If some other speaker insults you, either intentionally or by accident, be nice. Start out by praising the other person and listing their accomplishments. Then correct their statement, nicely. Starting out by being nice will make you "the nice one" and your audience will be more open to you when you finally get around to correcting the other person's statement.
