Cross-culture communication - part 2

Fellow speaker,

When speaking to someone from a different culture who might have ways that are foreign to you:
  1. Be careful about direct eye contact - some cultures consider directly looking in someone's eyes is rude
  2. May not get the reactions you expect - some cultures do not show how the talk affects them, so your audience may show little or no reaction to your words
  3. Question and answer sessions may not be possible - some cultures consider it rude to question the presenter's authority and so won't ask any questions of the presenter
