Fat and skinny

Fellow speaker,

Patricia Fripp suggests that you be able to use both "fat" and "skinny" ways to describe the same things.  Some people want to have a "fat" or "big picture" message and want to think about issues such as "world impact", "personal life vision", etc.  Others like to have a "skinny" or "detailed" message and want to think about issues such as "personal effect on me", "steps required", etc.  Being aware of both types of people and knowing when to use each different style will help make your message more effective.
