When you are telling a story to your audience, don't give out all the details of the people in your story. Instead, give a little hint about how the people are and let your audience fill in the rest with their imagination. To give a hint you can focus on:
- Dialog - the person in your story can give "hints" in their talking to each other (e.g., "When did you get that haircut?")
- Gestures - act out onstage how the person in your story looks (e.g., if the person is supposed to be confident, act and look strongly confident when you are using dialog for this person)
- Voice - give each person in your story a slightly different voice so they can tell when each person in your story is talking and when you yourself are talking (e.g., use a higher pitched voice for one person and a lower pitched voice for another person)
