If you are an experienced speaker, you may need to change your program based on the needs of your audience. If you get to the place where you will be presenting and get a chance to get a "feel" for the audience, you might decide that the presentation you were originally planning to do simply won't work for that audience. Instead of going ahead and doing your presentation the way you planned to do it, take some time to regroup and rethink your presentation. Then present the revised program and carefully watch for audience's reaction to determine how best to adjust your presentation for this audience.
