When you are giving training sessions with audience interaction, make sure to create a comfortable place for your audience. The goal is to make it comfortable enough so that your audience feels it is OK to take risks and make mistakes. For example, applaud after every audience volunteer, applaud while audience member is taking the stage, allow the audience member to quickly enter and leave the stage, etc.
