When trying to think up punch lines in your speeches, think of the punch line as the "problem" to solve. Then "solve" the "problem" in different ways:
- Extreme solutions - a comedian suggested, "Since some designers think that what's out a patient's hospital window helps motivate them to get well faster. Well, if you really want to motivate patients to get well faster, they should have their hospital window face a cemetery!"
