Punch packing #1

Fellow speaker,

When trying to think up punch lines in your speeches, think of the punch line as the "problem" to solve.  Then "solve" the "problem" in different ways:
  • Pretend to misunderstand the point - Think of yourself as an "outsider" to the problem...what's your first though about it?  Make a joke based on that misunderstanding.  One comedian, finding out that they use Botox on children immediately thought of why adults use Botox:  to look younger.  So she said to her audience something like, "I understand that kids are starting use Botox now.  What's up with that?  Does every 5 year old want to look like they did when they were 3?
Fully packed,

Tim
