- Curiosity - build interest in the problem your speech focuses on
- Method - give a method of how you examined this problem
- Possible solutions - give solutions that the audience might be thinking of, and show how they don't fully handle the problem
- Breakthrough idea - share how someone helped you come up with a completely new way of thinking about and solving the problem
- Selling -sell the audience on how this new idea is the way to solve the problem
