Pitch out

Fellow speaker,

Speech coach Jeremy Donovan suggests you follow this process when pitching an idea for solving a problem:
  1. Personally relevant - make your audience feel a connection to your problem
  2. Move from personal to societal - show how that personal issue is relevant to society as a whole
  3. Introduce yourself
  4. Drill down - drill down into what you will do to solve a problem
  5. Demonstrate success - give a clear example of what solving the problem looks like
  6. Call to action - ask the audience to take a next step towards helping you solve your problem
