All the world's a story

Fellow speaker,

Speech coach Jeremy Donovan suggests four different ways to develop stories in your speech:
  • Linear - one story told in the order that events occurred
  • Independent - two or more stories told one after the other
  • Flashback - one story is started and then interrupted with another story that happened earlier than the main story
  • Nonlinear - several stories are split up and told in an alternating style
