Wait for it...

Fellow speaker,

Presentation Coach Jerry Weissman suggests in your slide presentations you pause after you display the next slide. Stop talking, look at the slide, and allow the audience time to look at the slide as well. After the audience has had a chance to see and get the slide information, start talking again, possibly blanking the screen so the audience's attention is again firmly on you and your speech.
