Pushing your body's reset button

Fellow speaker,

Speech coach Nick Morgan suggests you can stand tall onstage if you imagine you have a string tied to the top of your head, pulling yourself upward. A simple way to take advantage of this method is to stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Then move your weight forward and raise yourself up on the balls of your feet. Slowly lower yourself back onto your heels, while picturing the string coming from the top of your head, pulling your body upward. Once your weight is again resting on your heels, your body will have reset itself so your spine is straight, your head is up, and you are standing tall.

Resetting,
