Speech coach Nick Morgan suggests you avoid gesturing at the slide while using Power Point. If your slide isn't clear enough on looking at it that you feel the need to gesture at it to point out things on the slide: it's too complicated. Simplify the slide so that the audience instantly gets the point without the need to gesture.
