How can I help you?

Fellow speaker,

According to Speaker Rich Hopkins, when marketing yourself to others, focus on understanding their needs first, then let them know how their needs match with your speaking:
  • Experience - show how you have deep experience in the subject they are interested in - reference previous speaking engagements (be careful about mentioning rival companies)
  • Entertain and educate - make it clear how your speech will be a fun, interesting experience where people will gain deep, transformative knowledge
  • Talk to 3-4 people - ask to talk to a few people at the company so you get to know the culture and the people
  • More than a speech - in addition, offer them your book(s), breakout sessions, follow-ups, etc.
