It could be worse...

Fellow speaker,

Joe Shervell of London Speaker Bureau suggests your fear of speaking may be a strong emotion. If this is the case, put your nervousness in perspective and contrast your emotions about public speaking to your emotions about a physically painful event (e.g., public speaking hurts a lot less than getting punched in the gut).
