World Champion Speaker Darren LaCroix suggests there are five directions on stage:
- Center
- House left (left from the point of view of the audience, stage right from point of view of speaker)
- House right
- Downstage (close to audience)
- Upstage (away from audience)
And you create interest in your audience by combining these five directions depending on the needs of your speech.
