- Asking audience to guess at an answer to a question which you reveal after they guess
- Getting a volunteer from the audience to help demonstrate your speech point
- Getting your audience to build with their hands
- Use case studies that relate to your speech subject
- Ask for imaginative and even "crazy" ideas to solve a problem you talk about that relates to your speech subject
