You can use Ed Tate's system to figure out how balanced your speeches are. First look through your speech and label it in terms of:
- Speaker time
- Speaker and audience taking notes (fill in the blanks) time
- Speaker and audience doing activity time
See how balanced your speech is in terms of (1), (2), and (3) time. For example, if you have a lot of 1s and very few 3s, then you need to add in more audience activities (3s) into your speech.
