Demo Time!

Fellow speaker,

You can achieve the same success Apple Computer entrepreneur Steve Jobs in his demo presentations by following the "Jobs Formula":
  • Tease - give a hint about something and make the audience wait until later in the presentation to find out the details
  • Benefit - give the audience-relevant benefits of what you are going to be talking about
  • Activity - do an onstage demo or give the audience something to do that relates to your talk (e.g.,  when Steve Jobs was talking about a new aluminum frame for his computers, he handed out aluminum frames to the audience so they could sense what he was talking about while he was saying it)
Job-ing,
