Opening up

Fellow speaker,

Professional speaker Patricia Fripp suggests these as possible opening lines:
  • "Remember the good old days when..." - sets up change or something being different - new way of looking at things in the future - idea is "the good old days are now"
  • "It was just one of those days..." - highly relatable to the audience meaning depends on how "one of those days" is said (e.g., excitedly, borningly, etc.)
  • "Welcome to..." - better than "Good morning..." - invites audience into an experience
