If you are videoing your speech and recording the sound separately (so you can do overlapping of different video shots from different cameras, professional speaker Alfred Poors recommends clapping your hands twice when you start to record. This will make it simply to sync-up the videos with the sound track. Use a stereo lapel microphone and a digital recorder to get the best sound.
