- Take an idea from conversation - pay attention to your conversations and find an interesting idea in one of them
- Add in a leadership principle - notice what part of your interesting conversation relates to a leadership principle (e.g., the idea from the conversation that relates to customer service practices)
- Tell a story using the idea from the conversation to show the leadership principle in action (e.g., tell a story about a problem in customer service)
