Fellow speaker,
When you are speaking, you want your speech to sound like it was happening to you right now. To help get this feeling across to your audience while telling your story, relive the feeling while you're retelling your story. For example, if you are saying, "I lost my job. And my career was over," think while you are saying, "I lost by job. [I can't believe that happened] And my career was over [What am I going to do now?]".
Thinkingly,
Tim
