Dry as a desert

Fellow speaker,

One challenge common to many speakers is "dry mouth", where the mouth becomes dry, making it hard to speak.  In case you don't have a source of water handy while you're speaking, Professional speaker Lilly Walters suggests these cures:
  • Think of a juicy lemon just cut open
  • Carefully bite the side of your tongue with your back teeth
  • Press the top of your tongue into the top of your mouth
  • Bite lightly on the inside of your cheek
  • Take a pinch of salt in your mouth
De-drying,

Tim
