Different strokes

Fellow speaker,

To simplify understanding your audience, look for:

  • Thinkers - analytical types, most interested in "just the facts"
  • Relaters - social types, want everyone to get along with each other
  • Directors - take-charge types, they want to the point information that helps them do things better
  • Inspirers - actor types, they want to be part of your act onstage

If you see that your audience is all one type, create a presentation that best fits their needs.  For example, for an audience of Thinkers, make sure you have sources for all your information.  If you have an audience of a mix of types, make sure your presentation has something that will appeal to all the types in your audience.

Four-square,

Tim
