Professional comedian Kevin Knox suggests when you see something happen or do something onstage that is unplanned, acknowledge it and move on. Simply seeing and recognizing it will be enough to take the audience's mind off it. Ignoring it and hoping no one noticed gets the audience focused on it and takes their attention away from you.
