Professional Comedian Kevin Knox suggests when doing a corporate speech which includes humor and comedy, make friends with the boss. If the boss laughs, everyone else laughs. If the boss doesn't laugh, no one laughs. So be the boss's friend and the boss will laugh, bringing everyone else in.
