When speaking, you want to be flexible. If you are telling your speech in one way and it doesn't seem to be working for the audience, be flexible to try something different. Switch up a story into an activity, or change an activity into a story. Or make some other slight change to build up the audience's energy so they are ready and waiting for the next step.
